Nursing is a profession within the health care sector focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities so they may attain, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. Nursing includes the promotion of health, prevention of illness, and the care of ill, disabled and dying people. Nursing study abroad gives students an opportunity to reflect on their experience with cultural stereotyping while gaining a better understanding of people of other cultures and ethnicities.
